Faust Contracting Company was started by Joe and Jayne Jackson, in December 0f 1989. However, it was by no means a new start up business. Prior to moving to the Jersey Shore area in 1985, they owned and operated Jackson Construction in Rockford Ohio.

Joe carries on the tradition of building and remodeling homes that started with his grandfather Cecil Jackson around 1919 and continued with his Uncle Ted Jackson and his father Charles Jackson.

Building and remodeling homes and businesses comes quite naturally to Joe and Jayne. Jayne's father was a mechanical engineer and that type of thinking was genetically passed down to her. She also provides great organizational skills.

You have probably seen on our trucks that Faust Contracting Company is abbreviated with "FC2" or even just "faust." The origin of FC2 came about in the early 90's after the company had already become established. Faust was becoming commonly mispronounced as (Fos-tt) as the business grew along with it's reputation for high quality carpentry.  That's when Joe Jackson decided a nickname was past due but just going with the standard acronym "FCC" was not an option. So, using his originality he came up with FC2

FC2 is located at 23 Emmons Street in Long Branch, NJ where we design and build custom cabinetry and concrete countertop fabrications.  FC2 has long been an innovator of re-using or recycling old lumber, acrchitectural components, and coming up with new uses for old or discarded items.

If you know of our company, you will also know Rick Janosko. Rick is a NJ native and grew up in the Locust area. Rick grew up helping his father at a very young age with his contracting business.

Rick's natural talents and abilities are complimented by his great attitude. He is truly a very unique person and customers are always glad to see him on their job.

We are also very lucky to have Rick's son J.R. working here at FC2.    Although he is only 21 years old, J.R. has the same gifts of natural mechanical ability as his father. In addition, J.R. also has an artists eye and imagination. He will be an incredibly talented carpenter/cabinet maker/fabricator before he is 25 at the pace he is going.

Another key feature about FC2 is how everyone shares the same ideals and goals of making EACH job as good as it can be, not only quality of workmanship, but also function, selection of materials, and a sustaining design. That truly is the heart of building green and FC2 has been doing it for many generations, and hopefully for many more to come after us.
